The Passport to Success Program is an academic enrichment and student engagement program for teacher education majors that enables students to more fully integrate the curricular and co-curricular aspects of NC State’s teacher education programs. Teacher education students are given the ability to design targeted “outside of the classroom” experiences that enhance what they learn inside the classroom.
The Passport to Success Program was designed in alignment with the NC Professional Teaching Standards and is focused on four key themes: Global Knowledge, Community Engagement, Cross Cultural Skills and Professional Development. Ultimately, the objective is for NC State teacher education majors to graduate with a more comprehensive learning experience that will better prepare them for 21st century classrooms.
